2014 . 12. 16 | Tadashi Tanimoto – Realcom & Tenex
Today, another great Disrupting Japan episode brought by Tim Romero , introducing Tadashi Tanimoto , Founder and CEO of Realcom Inc.
" Tadashi Tanimoto is a man with a big successes behind him and a big dream ahead of him. The IPO of Realcom was just a milestone in a longer journey to change the way people work together and share information. Now, I realize, that sounds like a typical committee-written and board-approved mission statement from any number of enterprise software companies. But as you get to know Tadashi, you begin to understand that he not only means it, but lives it. (...) " Source
One of the many interesting points which Tadashi brought during Tim's interview was the way Tanimoto answered Tim's question when he was asked to explain why he personally thinks that traveling and living abroad was essential in terms of both human and working experiences. Contrary to what most people would state when asked such specific cross-cultural related questions, Tadashi claims that exposing yourself to a foreign culture during a certain period of time enables you to better understand the culture in which you were born and raised. I find this point to be particularly true and vital in the sense that it will definitely help to broaden your vision in many different ways.
That reminds me of some Geert Hofstede's works studied during my uni years.
